All This and World War II

In 1976, documentary filmmaker Susan Winslow made one of the most bizarre movies of all time. It was called “All This and World War II” and was entirely newsreel footage from the 1940s with a soundtrack of Beatles covers from various 1970s musicians. Some of the musicians who appear on the soundtrack include Elton John, Rod Stewart, The Bee Gees, Peter Gabirel, and Tina Turner. It was savaged by critics and has never been released on home video, however the entire movie is currently available on YouTube. Only the brave should actually sit through the entire 82 minute running time, but dipping in and checking out a few clips is interesting.
